  1. Texting while walking is inconsiderate because there are many dangerous outcomes when walking and texting. You could be texting and crossing the streets and your not aware of your surroundings making you bump into everyone around you and most possibly getting hit down by a car and getting yourself killed. Like according to the video it's better to stop and stand in a corner and reply to your text instead of hurting yourself or blocking pedestrians on the sidewalk.

  2. Texting and walking is just like texting and texting and driving people can get hurt or seriously injured due because the person is not watching there surroundings because of there mobile device. When you are texting and walking your also a target for someone to rob or steal your phone because you aren't looking what ahead of nothing.

  3. Texting and walking is not that dangerous in my opinion. if the person who isnt texting is walking they can see all around them and avoid walking into the one who is texting. and honestly i text and walk everyday. everytime i type in like 4 words i look up to make sure nothing is in my way. and it shouldnt even be considered a "crime" according to this video.

  4. Texting while walking is definetly dangerous. It can cause accidents in the streets and on side walks. Texting while walking puts people in the risk of getting injured , and it makes people a target for someone to rob them. I believe if someone is going to text while walk they should look up often, to avoid danger and observe their surroundings. It is also inconsiderate b/c it slows other people down when they are trying to go somewhere.

  7. Texting while walking is not dangerous all the time. Texting while crossing the street is dangerous because there is a possibilty you can get hit by a car if you are not paying attention to traffic. I feel that one of the worst things that can happen while texting and walking is that if youre on a sidewalk you can walk into someone or vice versa. But usually now its something most people do daily not everyone thinks much of it

  8. Texting and walking is a dangerous thing to do because while you are texting you are focusing only in your screen and have a lot of blind spots that you can't see and you can get hit by a car. Texting and walking is just like being blind you don't know where you are walking when you are texting, and what if you are walking straight and its not your turn to cross the street and the driver is also texting, he is going to hit you then you will get seriously injured or dead.

  9. Texting while walking is dangerous all the time especially when you're crossing the street. If you're texting while crossing the street it is possible or more than likely a car can hit you. It's something you shouldn't do because it is dangerous and accidents can happen anywhere at anytime as long as you're careful.

  10. Texting while walking is the same thing as texting while driving an it is also just as dangerous in my opinion. Texting while walking is only dangerous when crossing the street because there is a possibility that you can get hit by a car while crossing. I dont think that texting and walking should even be considered a crime because you are not doing anything illegal .

  13. Khalil Lightbourne; texting while walking, or driving are both very dangerous, inconsiderate, and ignorant. It is dangerous because you put yourself at a high risk of getting seriously injured. It is inconsiderate because u may distract others and put yourself as we'll as others at risk. It's ignorant because those people feel like the txt message is that important to the point where they can't pull their viechle or walk inside a store so that they can take their time n not put their self in dangerous situations

  15. The video itself used examples that were a tad hyperbolic in reality, but it still does raise a valid point. Texting while walking is indeed inconsiderate and dangerous. But the problem is that it's so deeply ingrained into our society. If we get a message, impulse drives us to check it and respond immediately, regardless of what you're doing. It's only natural right? Most of us are guilty of doing so, I am obviously no exception to that. I've seen people pull out their phones, responding to texts in the middle of class, during lunch, even while someone was driving (we did end up getting pulled over by the cops, and the driver was ticketed).

So is it dangerous and inconsiderate? Yes. Is it ever going to stop? Highly unlikely. Unless there's some kind of MAJOR campaign against it, complete with advertisements, public service announcements, and police officers start stopping people walking and ticketing them for texting while walking, I highly doubt it'll ever stop.

  16. Texting while walking is very dangerous. I feel like it's very dangerous because many things may happen to you such as death. For example, texting while crossing the street. People don't pay attention to whats outside. People can cause death because of texting while walking.

  17. Texting while walking is very dangerous. It should never be done but it was a habit adopted by society. Habits like this are unhealthy and hard to get rid of. Most people can't control the urge to reply to a text immediately

  18. Texting while walking is very dangerous.Because you could get hit by a car like the video and get seriuosly injured and you also could end up died over a text message. Make sure you follow the direction that the video provided. BREAKS THOSE HABITS!

  19. Texting while while walking is a growing phenomena in modern society. Many technologically connected citizens are typing their latest reply into their phone as they navigate the streets, the word "navigate" being used very loosely. The visual field of a mobile texter is fixed to the ground instead of in front of them. This can cause many accidents and mishaps that may be potentially dangerous to all people involved, including the texting individual and any pedestrians caught in the mess.

This is also one instance that demonstrates the inconsiderate nature of texting while walking. You are not only compromising your own safety, but the safety of others as well. Many people are irked and frustrated when they encounter a texting individual on the sidewalk, oblivious to those around them.

All in all, texting while walking is an easily solved problem: walking to the far side of the sidewalk or into a store or sit down on a bench and reply to the text. It's not that strenuous of a task and it lowers your chances of walking into a pile of trash or some poor old woman significantly. And how important is responding to "ey yo watchu doin 2nite boiiiiiii" in the first place?

  22. Texting while walking is very dangerous. I t shouldn't be that hard to just lean near a wall and text the the person that you will respond back when you get to your destination.

  23. Texting while walking is dangerous and inconsiderate. Its inconsiderate because you're forcing others to yield to avoid your body because you're not paying attention. Its dangerous because you are unaware and oblivious to what's occurring around you, whether it maybe be vehicles, polls, doors, other people ect-- which can be detrimental to your health. Regardless of the importance of the text might be at the moment your life is far more valuable.

Texting while walking is dangerous because you may walk in the middle of the street and get hit by a car and lose your life , you may bump into someone that's in a wheel chair and there you go , you started something right there when you could've stepped to the side and answered your text all of that could've been avoided .. - Nia Williamson

  25. Texting while walking is very dangerous. God forbid you walk into an intersection at a red light. Also you make people have to walk around you because you are not looking up. That's inconsiderate and stupid.

  26. Texting while waking is definitely dangerous. You can be so into your conversation that you walk into the street without looking and get hit. I've seen it almost happen to a few people. You could also not be aware of your surroundings and get mugged for your phone. If your going to walk and text its best to do it at stop lights , just wait to reply

  28. Texting and walking isn't inconsiderate unless you stop in the middle of the street or sidewalk. Usually 3 people don't walk into eachother and all fall down, and if they do walk into eachother then they just keep walking.

  29. Texting while walking is dangerous because you never know who or what your gonna run in to. Imagine crossing the street but didnt look to see is u have the crossing sign, your most likely your gonna get hit by a car just because u wanted to send a text.

  30. Texting while walking is is very hazardous to your self and others. You are not aware of what going on even though we all do it. It's not dangerous if you stop and reply to whom ever it was you were texting. You could have signed your death sentence if you cross the street looking down on your phone its possible you could get hit by a car

  31. Texting while walking can b very dangerous and inconsiderate. Your jeopardizing both your and others safety by not paying attention to your surroundings. You could be walking and bump into a little kid n hurt them or try to cross the street check your msgs and BLAOW a car smacks you and you're in a coma for 6months... Now was that text message really worth your life ? It's better to just stop in a cut or something complete your message hit send & continue your journey

  32. Texting while walking is a common situation that puts people in the position where they no its not the right thing to do but they don't think about all the bad things that could happen at that moment even by jus texting one word, texting while walking is very dangerous and inconsiderate ,when you are texting while walking you have limited visibility ,lack of awareness which usually leads to most situations, and it's inconsiderate because the person could be walking in front of someone and suddenly stop traffic on the sidewalk or on the streets as the video say the safer way is to lean against a wall and text where your safe and your not stoping any traffic.

  33. texting while walk can be dangerous if ur phone takes control of ur mind ,that ur so focus on texting instead being caring. If u walk across the street while ur texting u are at risk of getting hit because u are looking down. If people just take a second to look up and cross the street it will be much safer and it wont put u in a situation where u have to go to the hospital.

  34. Texting while walking is a very dangerous and inconsiderate action to the walker and drivers. I feel that for people to actually be ignorant to put themselves in danger lie that, to actually risk there lives is beyond my understanding.

  35. Texting while walking is a dangerous thing to do. You can cause harm to yourself and others around you. People might not think alot can happen but it can. Some outcomes can be bumping into another person or walking in the street while cars are coming. People should just stop walking and wait to read or send someone their text message.

  36. I think texting while walking is dangerous because if your busy paying attion your phone you will not realize what's going on in your surroundings. I think it's a good idea to put signs on the bottom of the side walk when people are crossing to realize they need to look before crossing

  37. Texting while walking is dangerous because you aren't aware of your surroundings. You can't see cars in front of you and what if it's late and you're being followed. Also you can trip and hurt yourself. There are many dangers of texting while walking. Texting while walking is inconsiderate because people can be walking behind you and you can be walking very slow, or stop out of nowhere causing them to bump into you.
